Entheogens

There are many herbs, flowers, nuts, cacti etc. that are known for their various effects on the body and mind. These effects include promoting the health and function of organs; inducing euphoria and a sense of well-being; expanding consciousness and perception; relieving stress, anxiety, and pain; relaxing muscles; improving mental function, and more.

Caution should be exercised when using any such plants, however. Some can be dangerous if not taken properly or if taken in excess. I strongly recommend researching a psychoactive plant before trying it, taking any necessary safety precautions (if you take something that is a hallucinogen for example, it's recommended you have someone keep an eye on you), and when you do try it, start out with a very small amount, plan ahead and read experiences from people who have taken it if you can find it. Most of these plants, like alcohol and many medications, shouldn't be taken before driving or performing other important tasks.
