The Stranger
Chapter 1: Stranger at the Door "To hell with that bitch!" She slammed the phone down and hung up. That was the last straw, and she'd had enough. She never should have tolerated that insufferable woman in the first place, and her niceness and patience had just run out. Needing a break from the drama, she poured herself a glass of wine and retired to the comforting black pleather couch to find something worth while on tv. "Something funny", she thought to herself. Finally, she settled on Mad TV. "Perfect." Just as she was getting into the skit, she heard a knock on the door. She grabbed the remote and muted the TV. Walking to the door, she looked through the peep hole to see a slender man with black wavy hair. Something about him looked a little odd. She opened the door. "Hi.." It was raining pretty hard, but he didn't even seem to notice. She didn't want to invite him in. He just stood there for an awkward moment with an eerie look on his face. "Hi. You don't know me, but I know you." "...Ok...." She waited for him to explain, trying to mask being creeped out and bewildered. |
